NYSC 2024 Batch C Stream 2 Orientation Camp Opens Today

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has officially announced the commencement of the 2024 Batch C Stream 2 Orientation Camp across all states in Nigeria today, Wednesday, January 22, 2025. The update was shared via messages on the scheme’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle, #officialnyscng, on Tuesday.

The statement advised prospective corps members (PCMs) to report to their assigned orientation camps as stated in their call-up letters, bringing along all required documents and necessary supplies for the program.

In addition, deployment letters for the batch were released earlier, enabling PCMs to access their postings and prepare for the year-long national service.

To ensure the safety of participants, the NYSC issued a travel advisory urging corps members to avoid traveling at night while heading to their designated camps. “PCMs are advised not to travel to Orientation Camps at night,” the scheme noted.

Another essential reminder was shared regarding the completion of camp registration. PCMs were instructed to print and sign an addendum document, which must be submitted during the orientation registration process.

Logistical adjustments were also disclosed for some participants. Due to accommodation and operational reasons, corps members originally deployed to Lagos State will attend their orientation camps in Ekiti, Ondo, or Osun States. Similarly, some PCMs posted to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) will complete their orientation programs in Nasarawa or Kaduna States.

The NYSC encouraged all participants to follow these instructions and stay updated through its official social media channels.

The three-week orientation course is an integral part of the NYSC program, which has been a mandatory service scheme for Nigerian graduates under 30 since its establishment in 1973.
