Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini has openly criticized Ademola Lookman’s penalty-taking ability after the team’s 3-1 loss to Club Brugge in the Champions League knockout round play-offs.
Lookman, who had earlier scored Atalanta’s only goal of the match, had a chance to bring his team back into contention but failed to convert a crucial penalty.
His miss proved costly as Club Brugge maintained their lead and eventually secured the victory.
Speaking to the media after the game, Gasperini did not hold back in his assessment of the Nigerian forward’s penalty-taking skills.
“Ademola Lookman is one of the worst penalty takers I’ve ever seen,” Gasperini said.
