Osimhen Agrees Galatasaray Move, Awaits Final Nod from Napoli

Nigerian football star Victor Osimhen has reportedly accepted personal terms with Turkish side Galatasaray, with the contract expected to run until June 2028, according to popular transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Osimhen is said to have given the green light to join the Istanbul-based team, but the final decision now depends on the outcome of talks between Galatasaray and his current club, Napoli. Although the forward has already settled on contract conditions, both clubs are still negotiating the transfer fee.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, Romano noted that Galatasaray has submitted an offer of €50 million along with €5 million in potential add-ons for the 25-year-old striker. However, Napoli is yet to accept the proposal, as they are reportedly holding out for a larger fee before parting ways with their star man.

While Galatasaray appears to be leading the race for Osimhen, there is still interest from Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal, who may return with an improved offer. This could complicate matters if they decide to challenge Galatasaray’s bid.

The situation remains fluid as both Galatasaray and Napoli continue discussions behind closed doors. Osimhen, who has been a key player for Napoli since joining the Italian club from Lille in 2020, has made a name for himself with his goal-scoring abilities and physical presence in front of goal.

If the deal is completed, it would mark a major signing for Galatasaray, who are hoping to bolster their squad ahead of the new season. The Turkish champions are looking to make a strong impact both domestically and in European competitions.

“Victor Osimhen has accepted Galatasaray as next destination and agreed personal terms until June 2028,” Romano wrote on X. “The proposal is €50m plus €5m add-ons, waiting for Napoli to decide. Al Hilal, still interested.”
