Osimhen Shines Again for Galatasaray in Thrilling Win Over Sivasspor

Victor Osimhen continues to make waves in the Turkish Super Lig, scoring his 10th goal of the season for Galatasaray in a dramatic 3-2 victory over Sivasspor. The Nigerian forward was the star of the match, contributing to his team’s crucial win despite playing with just 10 men for most of the game. Osimhen’s impressive performance helped extend Galatasaray’s lead at the top of the league to six points.

The match at the Türk Telekom Stadium began with a bang when Sivasspor took the lead in the 25th minute. However, Galatasaray quickly responded, with Yunus Akgun equalizing before halftime. Things became even more challenging for the hosts after defender Metehan Baltaci was sent off in the 15th minute for a handball, leaving Galatasaray to battle with only 10 players.

Osimhen’s moment of brilliance came when he won a penalty after being fouled by Sivasspor goalkeeper Djordje Nikolic. The striker confidently converted the spot-kick into the top left corner, putting his team 2-1 up just before the break. After the restart, Akgun assisted Baris Alper Yilmaz for a third goal, sealing the victory for Galatasaray. Sivasspor did manage a late goal in stoppage time through Turac Boke, but it wasn’t enough to salvage a point.

Osimhen’s contribution was vital to the win, and with seven goals and three assists in just nine league appearances, his loan spell at Galatasaray has been a resounding success. Despite being substituted in the 74th minute, the striker’s impact was felt throughout the game, and his efforts were pivotal in securing all three points for his team.
