A deadly attack at a popular bar in Makurdi, the capital of Benue State, has left at least 10 people dead. The shooting, which occurred on the evening of April 27, 2025, shocked residents and left the area in a state of fear and chaos.
According to reports, a group of unknown gunmen, believed to be members of a local cult group, stormed the bar near the Okada Office in Akpehe around 8:00 p.m.
The attackers shot indiscriminately, which resulted in multiple casualties. As of now, more than 10 people have been confirmed dead, and several others are said to have sustained injuries.
