Pastor Bolaji Idowu Breaks Silence On Real Estate Fraud Allegations

Bolaji Idowu, the Senior Pastor of Harvesters International Christian Centre, has firmly denied accusations tying him to fraudulent real estate schemes and money laundering.

The allegations, which surfaced earlier this week, have drawn significant attention, but the cleric insists they are baseless and misleading.

Reports on Tuesday suggested that Idowu had been detained in Abuja by the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) over alleged involvement in real estate fraud.

A police source told PUNCH, “Pastor Bolaji Idowu, popularly known for his ‘Next Level Prayers,’ is under investigation for alleged fraudulent real estate activities and money laundering.” Additional claims indicated that his release followed interventions by prominent Christian leaders.

In response, Pastor Idowu addressed the matter during his church’s morning prayer session on Wednesday. He categorically rejected the allegations, asserting he has no dealings in Nigerian real estate.

“I do not have any property in Nigeria. The only property I have in Nigeria is the one bequeathed to me. So, there is no property that I have or bought in Nigeria,” he explained.

Idowu also dismissed claims about billions of naira being funneled through his bank accounts. Emphasizing transparency, he said,

“Someone said I received billions into my account. My accounts are public; you can check if I have ever received billions in them. It is just a lot of things going on in the press, but this is not the forum to address that,” he stated.

The pastor expressed shock at the allegations, admitting that he learned about them through the media, just like the public.

“Some of these things, as you are reading them, I am also reading them,” he said.
