Pep Guardiola to Move Out of £8.5 Million Mansion in Barcelona After Separation from Wife

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, is reportedly set to leave his lavish £8.5 million mansion in Barcelona following the news of his separation from his wife, Cristina Serra. The couple, who had been together for 30 years, made the decision to part ways earlier this week, according to reports from Spain.

Guardiola and Cristina, who have three grown children together, have shared the mansion in one of Barcelona’s most exclusive neighborhoods. The property, which cost Guardiola a hefty €10 million (£8.4 million), was purchased by the couple in February 2021.

The four-story mansion, located on the upper part of the city, sits on a massive 22,000-square-foot plot. It boasts an impressive 8,000 square feet of living space and includes a large swimming pool on its grounds.

The house is positioned near the Carretera de les Aigues, a six-mile stretch of dirt tracks in the outskirts of Barcelona.

Although it is unclear where Guardiola will live when in Barcelona, it is believed that Cristina will remain in the family home. Cristina, a successful fashion businesswoman, reportedly moved into the mansion two years ago after relocating from Manchester back to her hometown.

During this time, the couple’s relationship had shown signs of physical distancing, with Spanish media describing the mansion as “the perfect place for a separation without anyone discovering when you leave or enter.”

Despite their separation, the couple reportedly spent Christmas together at the mansion with their three children: Maria, 24; Marius, 22; and Valentina, 17.

However, the news of their split has now raised questions about Guardiola’s future plans and living arrangements. When not in Barcelona, Guardiola resides in the Deansgate CitySuites in central Manchester.

This building, which is 16 stories tall and contains 237 one and two-bedroom apartments, is where Guardiola spends some of his personal time.
