55-year-old Delta State highlife musician, Dr. Arube Otor, popularly called “Isoko Fela One,” is preparing to marry three women on the same day. The ceremony is scheduled to take place on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at the Anglican Church Field, London Base, in Uzere Kingdom, Isoko South Local Government Area, Delta State.

Dr. Arube, well-known for his contributions to Isoko highlife music, was pictured alongside his three brides-to-be, Oghenekome, Ewoma, and Oghenekaro, all dressed in matching outfits. According to a marriage flier that has gone viral, the event has sparked widespread curiosity and discussions online.

Speaking with PUNCH, Arube’s foster son, Emperor Efih, explained the musician’s decision to marry three women at once, citing cost-saving measures as a key factor. Initially, four women were set to marry Arube, but one opted out due to personal reasons.

Efih further shared insights into Arube’s past, describing him as a music legend with a career spanning over 30 years. “He married two women 20 years ago, but one divorced him. Now, he’s marrying three to manage expenses,” Efih noted.

Arube, originally a driver before fully venturing into music, has released over 10 albums since forming his dance band 12 years ago. Two of the brides have children with him, while the third is yet to conceive. Traditional rites for the three women were reportedly conducted last year.
