The Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has expressed strong approval of President Bola Tinubu’s recent cabinet reshuffle, which was announced on Wednesday.
In a public statement released by his Special Adviser on Strategic Communication and Media Relations, Bolaji Tunji, Adelabu praised the appointments and congratulated the newly selected officials.
Adelabu specifically acknowledged the appointment of Sunday Dare, the former Minister of Youth and Sports Development, who has now been chosen as the Special Adviser on Public Communication and Orientation to President Tinubu.
Sunday Dare, who hails from Oyo State like Adelabu, has had a distinguished career in public service, and Adelabu expressed confidence in his ability to succeed in his new role.
In his congratulatory remarks, the Minister also extended warm regards to Jumoke Oduwole, who was appointed as the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment.
Oduwole, a former senior lecturer at the University of Lagos’ Faculty of Law, is known for her expertise in Jurisprudence and International Law. Adelabu noted that her academic background and leadership skills would be a great asset in her new position.
In addition to these two key appointments, Adelabu took time to recognize all other federal ministers that were newly appointed by the President. He described the selection process as a reflection of President Tinubu’s ability to identify individuals with the right qualifications and leadership qualities to help guide the country forward.
“Being selected by Mr President is a reflection of their ability, exceptional leadership, and expertise,” Adelabu said, further emphasizing that the reshuffle showcases Tinubu’s focus on competence in governance.
Adelabu also highlighted Sunday Dare’s professional background as a media consultant, saying that his extensive experience in the media field would be invaluable in shaping the government’s public communication strategy. According to the Minister of Power, Dare’s deep understanding of media and communication would greatly contribute to the success of the administration’s outreach and orientation efforts.
