President Tinubu Inaugurates New NNPCL Board

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Thursday, officially inaugurated the newly appointed board and executive team of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL). The event took place at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja, approximately seven weeks after their appointments were announced.

The brief ceremony was held in the afternoon and saw the swearing-in of Ahmadu Kida as the Non-Executive Chairman and Bashir Ndimi Ojulari as the Group Chief Executive Officer of the NNPCL. The President administered their oaths of office personally in the Council Chambers.

Shortly after the event, President Tinubu moved on to participate in the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Summit, which was held at the Banquet Hall of the State House.

The newly inaugurated board is composed of 11 members, each selected to bring their experience and regional representation to the leadership of Nigeria’s oil and gas giant.

Members include Adedapo Segun and Bello Rabiu representing the North West, Yusuf Usman from the North East, and Babs Omotowa from the North Central. Omotowa previously served as the Managing Director of Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG).
