Real Madrid Fans Defend Mbappe Amidst Alleged Rape Accusation

Real Madrid fans have come to the defense of their star player, Kylian Mbappe, after media reports in Sweden suggested the French footballer was involved in a rape investigation.

The investigation centers around an alleged incident at a luxury hotel in Stockholm on October 10.

Although Swedish prosecutors confirmed the investigation, they did not name Mbappe directly. However, several media outlets in Sweden claimed that the 25-year-old striker was the target of the probe.

Kylian Mbappe and his legal team have denied these claims, insisting that the reports are untrue. Despite the controversy, Mbappe continues to receive strong support from Real Madrid fans, who believe that the allegations are unfounded.

Juan Castro, a 72-year-old Real Madrid fan, expressed disbelief over the accusations, calling them “fake news” and insisting that the story “makes no sense.” He added, “He’s a pretty intelligent person who has lots of ability, he isn’t going to make a mistake as stupid as this.”

Other fans have linked the rumors to Mbappe’s ongoing legal battle with his former club, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). Mbappe has been in a public dispute with PSG, claiming the club owes him €55 million in unpaid wages.

Some fans, like Marcelino Alvarez, 88, believe the media reports are part of a larger plot against the player. “This was an opportunity to attack Mbappe. All this comes from PSG, from filth… Hoaxes must be proven,” Alvarez said.

Similarly, 58-year-old Jorge Costa Laberia suggested that the accusation is a result of Mbappe’s fame. “All this is a set-up, because Kylian Mbappe is very famous,” he remarked.

However, not all fans are fully supportive. Some, like 18-year-old student Mateo Baez, are troubled by the allegations and believe the club should take action. “It’s very serious that he’s accused. For that reason I don’t back him, it seems really bad,” Baez said.

Meanwhile, 28-year-old Celia Mejia, who traveled from Asturias to Madrid, felt that the situation has overshadowed her trip to see the club. “If it’s true that Mbappe did that, he should be punished… Being a big fan of the team, coming here, it disappoints us massively,” she said.
