“Reclaim Your NNPP Membership, Stop Daydreaming” – APC Challenges Kwankwaso

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has fired back at former Kano State Governor and prominent Kwankwasiyya Movement leader, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, advising him to focus on reclaiming his position in the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) rather than making bold claims about diminishing APC’s influence in Kano State.

In a statement released on Thursday in Kano, APC spokesperson Abass ridiculed Kwankwaso’s remarks, describing them as “laughable.” He criticized the former governor for what he referred to as a “clueless and self-centered” approach that led to his ejection from the NNPP. “We expect Kwankwaso to keep wondering why he has become a wanderer in the political terrain,” Abass remarked.

The APC also dismissed Kwankwaso’s allegations that his party would sideline the APC in future elections, labeling such claims as unrealistic. The statement further highlighted that APC supporters remain unshaken by Kwankwaso’s rhetoric.

According to Abass, “He ran away from APC because he couldn’t fit into our progressive ideals. His over-bloated ego and domineering posture forced him to abandon the PDP, and he has now become a political refugee.”

Abass warned against any attempts to manipulate future elections, alluding to what he called vote tampering in 2023 that falsely boosted NNPP’s presence in the state. He assured APC supporters that the party is poised to reclaim Kano and protect its political stronghold.

“We are ready to save the people of Kano from the undue influence of Kwankwaso from his Miller Road castle,” he declared.

Kwankwaso had earlier vowed to weaken the APC’s standing in Kano, stating that his NNPP would ensure the ruling party secures fewer than 15,000 votes in upcoming elections, just as the PDP struggled to do in 2023.
