Recruit Teachers, Schools Suffering – APC chieftain Tells Adeleke

A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has called on Governor Ademola Adeleke to urgently address the shortage of teachers in public schools across the state.

The APC chieftain expressed concern over the state’s education system, urging the government to act swiftly to recruit more teachers and improve the quality of education available to students.

Speaking at an event in Ejigbo local government area, where free West African Examination Council (WAEC) and Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) forms were distributed to local students, the APC leader noted that education plays a vital role in shaping the future of the country.

He emphasized that having sufficient teachers is crucial for the education system to function effectively. The chieftain pointed out that despite some efforts by the state government, more needed to be done to address the challenges faced by schools, particularly in rural areas.

His words, “I will encourage the government of Osun State to do more for education. The truth must be said the government has not done well in terms of education in Osun State. We have schools in Ejigbo that do not have teachers, I want to appeal to them to come to our aid, and let them employ more teachers.

“In the last two years, this government has not employed any teachers compared to Oyo State where they are employing teachers massively. We are appealing to the government to do something about it.

“The funds that government has is for the entire state and they must look into education. If any development will come to the country it can only come through education”.
