Nigerian senator and businessman Ned Nwoko has reaffirmed his love for his wife, actress Regina Daniels, amid ongoing speculation about their marriage. Nwoko took to Instagram on Thursday, sharing a heartfelt poem to celebrate their six-year union.
The poem, titled “Six Years Later…: She Still Can’t Resist Me,” was accompanied by a picture of the couple and reflected on their enduring relationship.
It read in part:
“Six years and counting, and what do they see? A love untamed, wild, and free. Regina, my fire, my sweetest delight, Through every storm, you’ve held me tight.”
In addition to the poem, Nwoko shared a private conversation between himself and Regina, in which he playfully asked her, “Will you marry me?” to which she responded with laughter, saying, “Hahahahaha! Always! The biggest YES!”
He also addressed public opinions and criticisms surrounding their marriage, noting that many people misunderstand love and commitment. He stated:
“They whisper of love in measured tones, As if hearts are caged, made of stone. But ours, Regina, is fierce and wild, A dance of fire, God’s own child.”
Nwoko also commented on the nature of relationships, suggesting that honesty and transparency are key, regardless of whether a man is monogamous or not.
His post comes at a time when rumors have been circulating about possible trouble in their marriage.
In February, Regina Daniels sparked speculation when she returned to Instagram and made notable changes to her profile. She removed Nwoko’s name from her bio and deleted all pictures of him from her page.
These actions led to widespread rumors that their marriage was in crisis, especially after allegations surfaced that Nwoko was involved with actress Chika Ike and was preparing to take her as his seventh wife. However, both Nwoko and Ike swiftly dismissed the claims, calling them baseless.
