As Governor Ahmed Aliyu reaches the two-year milestone of his tenure in Sokoto State, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled a detailed summary of his administration’s accomplishments so far. The report was shared during a press briefing in Sokoto by the state APC chairman, Hon. Isah Sadeeq Achida.
Hon. Achida noted that the governor’s leadership has brought real improvements in several areas, especially in infrastructure, healthcare, water supply, education, and religious development. He said the administration has worked to ensure all 23 local government areas have felt the impact of government projects.
In the area of road construction, Achida explained that the state has seen a wide spread of new roads and repairs to old ones, covering both urban centers and remote communities. According to him, this effort has helped farmers, traders, and everyday commuters move more easily and safely across the state.
“In just two years, Governor Ahmed Aliyu has ensured that no local government area is left behind. Our communities are now better connected, and the ease of movement has significantly improved for farmers, traders, and other residents,” Achida said.
He also noted that the healthcare system has received a boost with several hospitals and health centers being built or renovated. These changes have made it easier for people, especially those in rural areas, to get medical help when they need it.
Water supply has also improved under the current administration. Hon. Achida pointed out that modern water facilities have been built in every local government headquarters, helping to reduce water shortages and improve hygiene for many families.
On education, he said that many schools across the state have been constructed or fixed, giving students a better environment to learn. Religious life hasn’t been left out, either, as mosques have been built or upgraded to support spiritual activities.
The APC chairman wrapped up the briefing by asking the people of Sokoto to keep supporting the administration.
“Governor Ahmed Aliyu is laying a solid foundation for the transformation of Sokoto State. The progress recorded so far is just the beginning. We are confident that the next two years will bring even greater development and prosperity to our dear state,” he said.
