Suspected herdsmen reportedly carried out a violent attack on the peaceful village of Tse Yange, located in the Obi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State. The incident took place late Sunday night, leaving behind a trail of fear, destruction, and heartbreak in the Tiv-dominated community.
Eyewitnesses say the assailants arrived on motorbikes under the cover of darkness. They stormed the rural community and opened fire, targeting the villagers as they slept. The village head was shot dead during the raid, while several residents were reportedly kidnapped.
Local sources told reporters that the attack continued well into the early hours of Monday, creating widespread panic. Many families fled their homes into nearby bushes, while others remained trapped as gunmen took control of parts of the village.
