#TakeItBack: I’ll Join Protest If I Have Time –Minister

Nigeria’s Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, has said he is open to joining the ongoing protest led by the Take It Back Movement—if his schedule allows. He made this statement on Monday while speaking with journalists in Abuja following the 2025 Annual Management Conference of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

Olawande noted that young people have the right to speak up about issues affecting them and should not be afraid to make their voices heard. He stressed the importance of expressing these concerns in a peaceful and responsible way, without causing damage to public property.

“I’ll join the protest if I have time,” the minister said.

The protest, organized by the Take It Back Movement, has been drawing attention from youth across various parts of the country. Many of the protesters are demanding better governance, increased job opportunities, and reforms across several sectors. The movement has been vocal about the challenges young people face, including high unemployment, poor education systems, and lack of accountability from public officials.
