Three Katsina PDP Reps Defect to APC

Three members of the House of Representatives from Katsina State, originally elected under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), have officially joined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). This was made public during a plenary session on Thursday when the Speaker of the House, Rajudeen Abbas, read out a letter announcing their defection.

The lawmakers cited ongoing internal problems and unresolved issues within the PDP as the main reasons for their departure. Their decision comes after weeks of tension within the party, with leadership disputes and disagreements over the party’s direction.

Notably, Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State was present at the House to show his support for the defectors. His presence symbolized a strong message of solidarity and backing for the shift in allegiance from the PDP to the APC.
