Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu, has stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been fair to all regions of Nigeria in delivering democratic benefits. He made this known during a political rally held at the Haliru Abdu Multipurpose Stadium in Birnin Kebbi.
Bagudu noted that Kebbi State has received over 40 ongoing federal projects worth more than N600 billion, covering key sectors such as agriculture, health, and education. He added that these projects demonstrate Tinubu’s commitment to equitable development across the country.
Speaking to the crowd, Bagudu said, “President Bola Tinubu has shown that he is a visionary leader with enormous capacity to carry everyone along. He promised to be president for all, and he has practicalised that in all his dealings in the last one-and-a-half years that he has been in office.”
He further stated that several road projects had been approved and funded by the federal government for the benefit of the people of Kebbi State. These include the N35 billion Natisini-Kangiwa-Kamba Road, the Malamdo-Ngaski-Warah Road, and the Sokoto-Kebbi-Badagry Superhighway, among others.
Governor of Kebbi State, Nasir Idris, also spoke at the rally, reaffirming the state’s support for President Tinubu. He praised Tinubu for his contributions to the state’s development and assured the people that his administration would continue to collaborate with the federal government for more progress.
“We can count many things that the President has done for our state. For this, I’m with Tinubu come 2027. When the time comes, we shall see if they think they have the same number of people as Tinubu in Kebbi State,” the governor said.
The Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Muhammadu Ankwe, also praised the President’s efforts in improving the state’s infrastructure. He called on the people of Kebbi to support Tinubu’s administration, saying that development projects should be met with loyalty and appreciation.
The rally was attended by several political leaders, including National Assembly members, former governors, and key figures from the All Progressives Congress (APC). Some notable attendees included APC National Organising Secretary Suleiman Argungu, Deputy National Publicity Secretary Durosimi Meseko, and former Kebbi State Governor Sai’du Dakingari.
At the event, Bagudu announced a donation of N450 million to the 225 wards in Kebbi State. He explained that the funds, contributed by his associates and the governor, were meant to provide food supplies for the less privileged during the upcoming Ramadan period.
James Faleke, the chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Finance, represented Tinubu at the rally. He thanked the people for their unwavering support and assured them that the President remains committed to serving Nigerians.
“I thank you for this show of support. I urge you to continue to stand firmly, and I assure you that Tinubu will not disappoint you,” Faleke told the cheering crowd.
