Tinubu Hosts Wike, Fubara, Governors, Other Officials for Iftar at Aso Rock

President Bola Tinubu hosted an Iftar dinner at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, bringing together top political figures, including Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara and his political rival, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The event was attended by governors, ministers, and key officials from various government agencies.

As part of the Ramadan tradition, the President invites notable personalities to break the fast with him during the holy month. The gathering served as an opportunity for leaders from different political backgrounds to come together in the spirit of unity and faith.

Among the dignitaries present was Vice President Kashim Shettima, alongside the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila. Several state governors also joined the event, representing different regions of the country.

Some of the governors in attendance included Dr. Alex Otti of Abia, Pastor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom, Bala Mohammed of Bauchi, Hyacinth Alia of Benue, Babagana Zulum of Borno, and Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta. Others present were Monday Okpebholo of Edo, Muhammad Yahaya of Gombe, Umar Namadi of Jigawa, and Uba Sani of Kaduna.

Also present at the dinner were Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano, Nasir Idris of Kebbi, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara, Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa, Mohammed Bago of Niger, Dapo Abiodun of Ogun, Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo, Duoye Diri of Bayelsa, and Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi.

Heads of key government agencies also joined the gathering. Notable figures included Professor Abdullahi Mukhtar Muhammad, Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria; Sylvester Ndidi Nwakuche, Acting Controller General of the Nigerian Correctional Service; Jaji Abdulganiyu, Comptroller General of the Federal Fire Service; and Bashir Adeniyi, Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service.

Additionally, leaders in the petroleum sector attended the event, including Abba Kyari, Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), and Farouk Ahmed, Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority.
