President Bola Tinubu will mark his 73rd birthday on Saturday with a special prayer session at the National Mosque in Abuja. The event, set for Friday, is expected to bring together Muslim faithful as the President seeks divine guidance for the nation.
A statement from Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, noted that the President will use the occasion to express gratitude for his journey and the responsibility of leading Nigeria.
The statement, titled ‘President Tinubu To Mark 73rd Birthday with Special Prayer at the Abuja National Mosque’, described the event as a moment of deep reflection. Given that Tinubu’s birthday falls within the holy month of Ramadan and comes just two months before his administration’s second anniversary, the prayers hold special significance.
Onanuga noted, “On this significant day, the President will dedicate himself to spiritual reflection and supplication for Nigeria’s continued peace, progress, and prosperity.”
He also added that the choice of a prayer session reflects Tinubu’s belief in the power of faith and unity in guiding the nation toward stability and growth. The President sees collective prayers as an essential tool for national progress, urging Nigerians to participate by offering prayers from their places of worship or homes.
In his message, Tinubu expressed deep appreciation for the support and goodwill of Nigerians as his administration continues working on economic reforms, security improvements, and expanding opportunities for all citizens.
“I am deeply thankful to Allah for the gift of life and the privilege to serve this great nation. As I mark another birthday and look forward to our second anniversary, my heart is filled with Renewed Hope for Nigeria,” the President stated.
He further urged Nigerians to pray for divine guidance, unity, and healing, emphasizing that through collective effort and faith, the country can overcome challenges and move toward a brighter future.
