Tinubu Hosts Wike, FCT Leaders for Eid-El-Fitr Celebration at Aso Villa

President Bola Tinubu hosted Federal Capital Territory (FCT) leaders and officials at the Presidential Banquet Hall in Aso Villa on Sunday as part of the Eid-El-Fitr celebrations.

The event, which began at 12:16 p.m., brought together a diverse group of dignitaries, including lawmakers representing the FCT in the National Assembly, chairpersons of area councils, traditional rulers, and leaders from both the Christian and Muslim communities. Senior judicial officers were also present.

The gathering opened with prayers led by Dr. Timothy Amazon, Chairman of the FCT Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, and Prof. SAS Galadanci, the Murshid of the National Mosque. Their prayers set the tone for a meeting focused on unity and collaboration among religious and political leaders.

During the event, President Tinubu engaged in discussions with the delegation, addressing key issues concerning the FCT and the nation at large. He acknowledged the importance of religious harmony in national development and encouraged continuous dialogue between different faith communities.

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, who was also in attendance, spoke about the progress made in Abuja under his leadership. He noted ongoing infrastructure projects and efforts to improve governance in the territory.

Traditional rulers and religious leaders at the event expressed their appreciation for the president’s commitment to fostering peace and development in the FCT. Some also took the opportunity to present concerns and suggestions regarding community welfare and governance.
