Tinubu’s Peaceful Visit Shows Anambra is Safe – Police

The Nigeria Police Command in Anambra has noted that President Bola Tinubu’s recent visit to the state went smoothly without any security issues, which they believe is strong proof that Anambra is a safe place.

The state Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu, made this known through a statement shared by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, on Friday in Awka.

According to the statement, Tinubu’s official trip was carried out with no disturbances, delays, or security breaches.

Orutugu said this shows how peaceful and prepared Anambra is when it comes to managing public events and protecting both citizens and visitors. He also praised residents of the state for their cooperation and support before, during, and after the visit.

“Tinubu’s visit to Anambra State was smooth and secure, with no reported cases of violence or unrest. This shows the joint efforts of the police and the people of the state in maintaining peace and order,” the police noted.

During his stay in the state, President Tinubu launched several important projects. These included the official opening of the Anambra State Government House and the Solution Fun City – a new recreational center. He also commissioned the Governor’s Lodge and the Presidential Lodge.

In addition, the President was at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka, where he inaugurated the Emeka Anyaoku Institute for International Studies and Diplomacy Centre. The event drew a large crowd, including top government officials, traditional rulers, students, and members of the public.

The Police Commissioner noted that the peaceful nature of these events proves that the state is capable of hosting high-level visits and managing large gatherings without security concerns.
