UCL: Inter Milan to Face Bayern After Easing Past Feyenoord

Inter Milan booked their place in the Champions League quarter-finals with a 2-1 win over Feyenoord on Tuesday, sealing a 4-1 aggregate victory. Goals from Marcus Thuram and Hakan Calhanoglu ensured a smooth passage for the Italian champions, who will now face Bayern Munich in a blockbuster tie.

Thuram set the tone early, scoring in the eighth minute with a powerful shot after receiving a pass from Carlos Augusto. His goal left Feyenoord with a mountain to climb. The Dutch side, led by Robin van Persie, briefly showed promise when Jakub Moder converted a penalty before halftime. However, Inter remained in control.

Calhanoglu restored Inter’s lead in the second half, confidently scoring from the penalty spot after Mehdi Taremi was fouled. Feyenoord, already missing 11 players due to injuries and suspensions, struggled to respond.

Inter, missing key players themselves, managed the game well, with coach Simone Inzaghi making strategic rotations ahead of a crucial Serie A match. Now, they turn their focus to Bayern, a clash that revives memories of their 2010 treble-winning season.
