Victor Osimhen Tipped to Score 30 Goals for Galatasaray This Season

Turkish sports columnist Uğur Meleke has made a bold prediction, suggesting that Victor Osimhen will score 30 goals for Galatasaray this season if he remains injury-free and avoids bad luck. Meleke’s statement comes after the Nigerian striker scored twice in Galatasaray’s thrilling 3-2 victory over Samsunspor, bringing his total to eight goals in all competitions, along with four key assists.

“If Osimhen does not experience any injury or bad luck, it would not surprise me if he scores 30 goals this season,” Meleke wrote in his column for Hürriyet.

Osimhen, 25, joined Galatasaray from Napoli on a season-long loan deal in September. In his short time with the Turkish club, he has already made a significant impact, scoring six goals and assisting twice in just six league appearances. In addition, he has netted two goals and provided one assist in three Europa League matches.

His performances have sparked interest from other clubs, especially with the January transfer window approaching. However, Osimhen has expressed his commitment to completing his loan spell at Galatasaray, with no immediate plans to return to Napoli.

Galatasaray is reportedly negotiating with Napoli over a potential permanent transfer, with the Turkish club aiming to raise €50 million for Osimhen’s transfer fee. Galatasaray’s president, Dursun Özbek, recently met with Osimhen and reassured him, saying, “Don’t rush; wait for us. We want to continue with you.”

Osimhen’s impressive form has also attracted attention from Fenerbahce, with their head coach, José Mourinho, showing interest in bringing the striker to the club.

Fenerbahce’s president, Ali Koç, has made it clear that they are working hard to secure Osimhen’s services, stating, “Look, I’ve been in office for a while. I’ve learned from my mistakes. So now I’m going; I’m trying to get Osimhen’s transfer fee. I’ll get him; I may not get him, but I’ll try.”
