Senator Monday Okpebholo, on Thursday, paid a visit to President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa. This visit came shortly after Okpebholo was officially confirmed winner of the Edo state governorship election, which took place on September 21.
The event was marked by a sense of joy and gratitude, as Okpebholo expressed his happiness over the electoral victory, despite the controversies surrounding the election.
Accompanying Senator Okpebholo during this important visit was Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Their arrival at the State House was part of a larger gathering of APC governors who had come to pay their respects and discuss the party’s future under Tinubu’s leadership.
Among those present were notable figures in the party, including Hope Uzodimma, the chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) and the governor of Imo State, as well as governors Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq from Kwara, Uba Sani from Kaduna, Usman Ododo from Kogi, and Dapo Abiodun from Ogun.
During the meeting, Senator Okpebholo showcased his respect for the president by kneeling before him, a gesture that signifies allegiance and gratitude.
