‘We Are Not Hiring’ – NNPCL Warns Public About Fake Recruitment Advertisements

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has cautioned the public about fraudulent job advertisements circulating online. The company made it clear that it is not conducting any recruitment at the moment and urged job seekers to be careful of scams.

In a statement posted on its official X handle on Friday, NNPCL warned against falling for fake job offers. The company noted that any official recruitment announcements would only be made through its official website and verified social media pages.

“The general public is hereby informed that NNPC Limited is not recruiting. Official recruitment announcements will only be made through our website and verified social media platforms,” the statement read.

NNPCL also noted that its recruitment process is always transparent and based on merit. The company assured that applicants do not need any external help or connections to secure a job with them. This statement comes in response to increasing reports of fraudulent recruitment schemes that have misled many job seekers.

Over the years, scammers have been known to create fake job postings, asking applicants to pay fees for application forms, interviews, or job placements. Many desperate job seekers have fallen victim to these schemes, losing money in the process.

The company urged the public to always check its official communication channels for updates regarding recruitment. It also advised anyone who comes across suspicious job postings claiming to be from NNPCL to report them to the appropriate authorities.
