President Donald Trump declared on Tuesday declared that the United States has complete control of Iran’s airspace. He made this statement through a post on his Truth Social platform.
In his statement, Trump praised American military capabilities, saying, “We now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran.” While he didn’t mention Israel directly, his remarks come at a time when Israel continues military operations targeting Iran’s leadership and nuclear sites.
Trump also praised the power and precision of U.S. weaponry, writing, “Nobody does it better than the good ol’ USA.” His words added to speculation over whether the United States might soon take a more direct role in the ongoing conflict.
In another striking post, Trump made clear that Iran’s highest authority was being closely monitored. “We know exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there — We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now,” he wrote, referring to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Trump’s message continued with a warning, saying, “But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Not long after, he followed up with a bold and brief message: “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!”
The former president cut his trip to the G7 summit in Canada short late Monday, returning to Washington ahead of planned high-level meetings in the White House Situation Room. These meetings are expected to focus on the growing crisis between Iran and Israel, and the role the U.S. may play moving forward.
Although Trump has repeatedly stated that the U.S. is not directly involved in the conflict, his tone has shifted noticeably. He noted that Iran still has a chance to accept the nuclear deal previously offered, which could bring the situation to a peaceful resolution. However, he made it clear that time may be running out.
Speaking aboard Air Force One, Trump told reporters, “I want a real end, not a ceasefire,” and added that he was “not in too much of a mood to negotiate.”
Israel, America’s closest ally in the region, has made similar claims about its control over Iran’s airspace. Trump’s recent statements mirror those claims, suggesting a stronger alliance between the two nations in their efforts against Tehran.
