The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has announced plans to complete 14 ongoing road projects in Abuja using part of the proposed N1.78 trillion FCT statutory budget for 2025.
Speaking on Wednesday during his appearance before the Senate and House of Representatives Committees on FCT, Wike said the roadworks would cover areas in both the city centre and satellite communities.
He stated that the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) and the Satellite Towns Development Department (STDD) would oversee the execution of the projects.
According to Wike, the allocation reflects the administration’s commitment to improving infrastructure and easing movement across the capital.
The minister said completing these roads would enhance accessibility and boost economic activity in less developed areas.
