Wizkid Sparks Fresh Feud with Davido, Calls Him “Wack” With “No Talent”

A long-standing rivalry between two of Nigeria’s biggest Afrobeats stars, Wizkid (Ayodeji Balogun) and Davido (David Adeleke), has resurfaced, reigniting tensions between their camps. The latest conflict began after Davido teased a preview of his upcoming 2024 single, which set social media abuzz.

Coincidentally, Wizkid had been planning to release the first single from his much-anticipated album “Morayo,” which fans have been eagerly awaiting. The timing of both events led to renewed friction between the two artists and their fanbases.

The situation took a turn when Kayode Yajaur, better known as Black Tycoone, who is closely associated with Davido, appeared to poke fun at Wizkid on social media. Tycoone posted on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “Tell your Daddy to drop an album already.” This comment seemed to taunt Wizkid, implying that his album was overdue for release.

Wizkid, not one to back down from such comments, quickly fired back, also using X to respond. Without mentioning Davido directly, Wizkid wrote, “P***y boys dropping mid again,” followed by another post, “Una don tire! Make una go rest small!” Fans of both artists were quick to interpret these posts as directed at Davido.

One fan, siding with Davido, accused Wizkid of stirring up the rivalry as a publicity stunt to boost his own music sales. The fan tweeted, “So if you no beef @davido, your song won’t sell?”

Wizkid wasted no time in responding, doubling down on his criticism of Davido’s musical abilities. “I don’t beef wack niggas! We all know he’s wack! No talent!” Wizkid tweeted, making his feelings about Davido very clear.

He didn’t stop there. Wizkid continued to belittle Davido’s music, labeling his work as “trash” and claiming that his own catalog of music is far superior. “80 trash! We got 80 albums for any song y’all drop! P***y boys!” Wizkid added, signaling that the rivalry was far from over.
