Barcelona vs. Osasuna Postponed Following Club Doctor’s Death

Barcelona’s La Liga match against Osasuna was postponed on Saturday following the sudden passing of the club’s first-team doctor, Carles Minarro Garcia.

The club announced the tragic news in a statement, saying, “Barcelona is sorry to announce the sad news of the death of the first team doctor, Carles Minarro Garcia, this afternoon.” As a mark of respect, the match was called off shortly before kickoff, with fans already arriving at the Olympic Stadium.

Osasuna expressed condolences on social media, stating, “Osasuna wishes to convey its deepest condolences to the family of doctor Carles Minarro Garcia.” Club president Luis Sabalza fully supported the decision to postpone the match.

This marks the second La Liga postponement in recent days, as Villarreal’s match against Espanyol was also delayed due to heavy rain in the region. A new date for the Barcelona vs. Osasuna fixture will be announced later.
